Care Packages🤲🏽

You know when someone who loves you sends you a parcel with a bunch of goodies in it? I’m endeared to the care package (in whatever form it comes) as a way of making, way of caring, way of sharing. There’s no shortage of possibility as to how a care package presents, what it contains, what assortments are collected, how it’s delivered, how it’s received, and what it might mean to it’s recipients.

I value that this orientation toward making and giving can bring together items that you don’t always see together. You’re simply giving what’s needed and what might land as care. I like when a care package is a sweet collection of some practical stuffs and also things for pure enjoyment (maybe highlighting the functionality of joy and pleasure to our survival); a mix of things you can use in the long run plus some things to use right now. A box containing socks, a nice notebook, some chocolate, a bag of rice.

I like both mail and creating with the intention to give, so the Care Package holds a place in my heart. I send the people on my list a weekly (email) Care Package 🤲🏽. I write them with the intention of both holding space for all the positive possibility that you radiate, and to be of real tangible use. Ideas that you can grab onto, that make a difference in your life.

The Dark Side- All Unwellness is Environmental

I started integrating chat about depression, anxiety, and pain into my communication because let’s be real… so many of us know and have navigated darkness, usually alone because the conversations as they exist in society are isolating. 

More people have had experiences with mental unwellness than not. While unfortunate, I don’t find this surprising at all, because our mental spaces are not unrelated to everything else going on in our lives. Our mental spaces are affected by our thinking, feeling, doing, physiology, everything!

Important note: I will not ever be talking about mental unwellness in the same way you’ve probably been taught to think about it. I don’t believe in prescribing afflictions as immovable or identifying with a moment of unwellness as a permanent condition. I prefer to see the dark side as momentary states of being, a matter of habituated identification, a chosen posture (whether conscious or unconscious), and an environmental effect... all of which are influencable.

The underlying belief here is that your natural state is wellness. If you’re not doing well, you’re not just simply a sick person or just simply a broke person or whatever other issue you’ve overidentified with. Back to the plant analogy- if a plant was wilting would you simply label it a “bad plant” or would you check on the environmental factors contributing to it’s health (sun, soil, water, air, space)?

If you prefer to believe that your natural state is something other than health and prosperity and you want to continue holding onto that and will fight for those beliefs… you may want to bounce now. I have people to help who want to be helped. The way I see it- there’s way too much suffering in the world to spend time trying to give people goods that they don’t want to receive.

If you are down with your worthiness to be well (even if you’ve been indoctrinated otherwise but want to be down with your worthiness and want to see positive change in your life), you’re in the right place. I guarantee I can show you an alternative and that what I have to say going forward will resonate harmoniously with the highest part of you. 

Just like the plant is cared for by tending to its environment, your momentary states of unwellness can be approached environmentally. By environment I mean everything that you are in relationship with. An empowering paradigm shift is to recognize the following- Relationships are environments and environments are relationships. Everything that you are in relationship with creates an environment that you are in. 

The Homebody Organizing coaching approach acknowledges your environments as made up of 5 main areas:

Your home (functional organization, harmony, facilitating capacity), body (strength, energy, health), spirit (intuition, creative alignment, fulfillment), habits (rhythms, effortless productivity, maintenance), and prosperity consciousness (how you think and feel about money, law of attraction, manifestation). These are your sun, soil, water, air, and space.

Caring for your wellness is a simple matter of remedying your relationships/environments- your relationship to your home, to your body, to your spirit, to your habits, and to your prosperity consciousness.

It is my intention to not only create but to BE, and remain in a state of continually becoming, a living breathing resource that is thoroughly antidotal to depression, anxiety, pain, harm, abuse, and destruction.

It is my intention, in coaching, to facilitate the utter wellness and prosperity of those that I work with, knowing that they by effect will bring more light, understanding, and possibility into their lives and the lives of those around them, and that this has every potential to ripple out in a magnificent way.
