CP 19 š¤²š½ Itās Not That Weāre Low On Energy
The Solution is Neither Additive nor Subtractive, itās Transformative and Restorative; itās Spirit Compost
Hereās a playlist.
My dad whose first language is Spanish not English once asked me what the difference between āwonderingā and āwanderingā is. After explaining that wondering is like thinking about something in an inquisitive way (head tilt, finger on chin) and wandering is walking around but not like you have a clear destination, more exploringā¦ he said āwell arenāt they kind of the same thing then?ā And I thought that was pretty profound.
Welcome back!
When aiming to transform how we feelā¦
Itās not that weāre low on energy, have little energy, need more energy, or any other interpretation that understands energy in terms of quantity.
The quantity (mass) of energy doesnāt change. Energy doesnāt go anywhere.
Despite the occasional usefulness of believing we are vessels, and while I fully relate to the sensation of energy/life leaving that vessel, I think itās actually an error to imagine that our energy goes anywhere.
It also seems completely related, though not the exact point of this piece of writing, to our fear of death. Of course if weāre believing that we are vessels that are subject to the depletion of our own energy, the thorough drainage of all of our conscious experience, that would be a disorienting and frightening prospect.
But what we actually know is that matter doesnāt go anywhere, it just transforms. Volcanoes. Compost.
Imagining is a way of transforming. A thought game in here for you.
So, same with your individual energy. How does it change things to know that energy doesnāt leave you but rather transforms in itās quality and nature?
Itās important to note here that by quality Iām not speaking of a linear scale from ābadā to āgoodā (words weāre evolving away from), but rather a limitless field of specific tangible reality.
If we can think of energy less like a characteristicless substance that simply increases or decreases in quantityā¦ If instead we grew our curiosity and awareness of the unique quality of our energy at any give momentā¦ how might that change things for us?
If your energy were a fabric or a flower or a color or a song or an animal or a friendship or a building or a landscape or a season or a body of water or a plant or a planet or a beverage, how might you describe it?
Creating a space with more options,
Loretta
